Having waded through all the darkness (sin) of this world. Can God really forgive me?
Yes, but upon one
condition: "to confess and give up." In this context, the Bible says: "If we confess our sins, He (God) is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all
unrighteousness" (1 John 1: 9). "
What does mean to confess his (her) sin (s)?
To confess sin is to admit, regret, and not to repeat it. There, Jesus and John the Baptist are unanimous: Sin is to
"sweep", otherwise no reconciliation with God would be possible. The Christians in Thessalonica, for example, converted to God, abandoning their idols (sin) to serve the living and true
God (1Thess. 1: 9).
What do I do after I have confessed my sins?
I should soon be baptized because, admittedly, confession of sin and faith in Jesus should be crowned with water
baptism. The converted one may be baptised immediately (*Philip and eunuch of Ethiopia*: Acts 8: 36-39).
Meaning of the “repentance followed by the immersion baptism in Lord Jesus Christ name”
1.You are washed of all sins.
2. You are identified to the death, the burial and the resurrection of JESUS-CHRIST. The person reaches the step of « justification ».
Is there any recourse to the sentence of God? Is the
conviction inevitable? Who can overthrow the weight of our sins?
Only one, Jesus Christ, infinite grace, he came to
atone for our sins by dying on the cross. By appropriating by faith the value of the work he accomplished, we may be approved by God, made righteous by virtue of the merits of the
Redeemer.
JESUS SAVES: Good News for all mankind
A thief was saved in cross, so no one needs to despair. Only the grace of God manifested in the cross of Christ can instantly transform a great sinner by bringing him/her to repentance and faith. God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. Whoever has the Son has life but he who hath not the Son of God hath not life. 1 John 5:11-12
